I have used a hard carrier for my cats my whole life. Just because it was the only option 30 years ago- and I always just went to vet. Many times I just let them sit on the car seat. But when it came time to travel on a plane- I needed a soft carrier. I was gifted this carrier and it was perfect!!!! Soft to fit under the seat. Love the mesh so we could see our cat. Sat nicely on top of our carry on and our cat loved being able to see everything as we rolled him around. And the top opening is perfect for them to feel like they are able to see when in a waiting zone. And the fact it can be washed and the removable pad was great. Happy to 100% recommend!
This was so great to travel with our cat on a plane. There is no metal- so you don’t have to remove when taking an animal through security. It is easy to get on and the length of the lease is perfect. All in all 100% recommend!
I purchased two large size bags for my two, one year old kittens. Previously, we had one cat and one plastic crate. With two cats, I needed something light that would allow me to carry two cats at a time. My vet is located in a thickly settled town center and parking is not always available, so I need to be able to carry the two kittens (one weighs 10lbs, another 13lbs) a couple blocks if I'm unlucky with parking. The bag is extremely well made, and I really appreciate the design that allows you to collapse it for storage or for washing. Now... my kittens were VERY upset about going to the vet and I had not used gabapentin, so there was a lot of thrashing around and dramatic cries, but the bag survived the ordeal and so did the kittens. When I first got the bags, the kittens were very happy about sleeping in them. Now that the vet ordeal is over, I will continue to leave them out for sleeping in, in hopes they'll forget their awwwwwwful trip to the vet. :-) I appreciate all the little details in the bag's design- the pockets (so convenient!), the zippers, the ventilation, it's all great. My kittens may hate this bag now, but I love it for allowing me to bring the kittens to the vet all by myself.
Every time I pull out our Sturdi Large Carrier, my 18-lb, 15-year-old Cavapoo bursts into happy cries — he knows another adventure awaits! I don’t take him on long flights, so this carrier is the perfect travel companion. Thanks to its flex-height design, I can easily compress it to fit under the cabin seat while it maintains its shape, so it never collapses on him mid-flight. We took our Maine Coons to the Cat show on the cross-country flight, and they were so comfortable in their new Sturdy bags, they did not make a sound, they were sound asleep pretty much the whole trip. I was worried that divided bed would be not comfortable, for my 20lbs boy, but the divider goes so flat and the cushions fit so snug together, there was no gap. I definitely recommend SturdyBag for travelling.

I recently relocated and had my two dogs in the airplane cabin with me for the six hour flight to Hawaii. Elsie has flown a few times, but this was her longest flight by far. She wasn't enjoying the limited visibility and low height of her previous carrier, so I was happy to find the Totes'ter had full mesh sides and taller arched top.
Other carriers typically have rigid structures that don't flex or soft structure that can easily encroach on your pet's space. The SturdiBag design, however, is quite elegant - removable flexible rods create the arched structure, but light pressure applied to the top allows the top to compress enough to ensure it fits beneath an airline seat. That means the animal has as much space as possible, even when under the airline seat.
The light-weight design made it easy to use the carrying handle and the shoulder strap. Even though Elsie is near the top of the weight limit for this bag, the bottom was sturdy and the bag didn't show signs of strain. The mesh and zipper even held strong against Elsie's nervous digging.
The Totes'ter turned out to be the perfect bag for my pup!

I recently relocated and had my two dogs in the airplane cabin with me for the six hour flight. This was Tater's first flight, and because he is a bit of an anxious boy, it was important he be as comfortable as possible. Being pretty tall for a small dog, I wasn't sure if the All Mesh would work for Tater. But once he got in, the arched top allowed him to stand enough to turn around and get comfortable.
The 4-point shoulder strap design kept the bottom of the carrier level as I navigated through the airport, even when he moved around. The all mesh sides and top meant he had good visibility and airflow at all times, and the top zipper access allowed me to reach in to give him water and pet him when he was nervous. The washable cushion held up against Tater's stress chewing. The pocket was big enough to hold snacks, a leash, and an extra roll of dog waste bags.
The carrier fit perfectly on the seat (since I purchased the extra seat for this purpose), and it would have similarly fit well beneath the seat in front of me. The flexible structure allows great interior space when in use, as well as the option to remove the rods for machine washing or flat storage.
I couldn't be happier with how well this carrier worked for my pup!

Love the supports that allow the carrier to stay erect and not smoosh down on the pet when being transported. The purple compliments my dark Siamese cat perfectly - so nice to be able to have something bright and cheerful!
I love the new sturdy 2.0 the large version and the vibrant color. I chose purple all of the straps and especially the new Velcro fastener that don’t adhere as much to the Persian fur.
I have the 3.0 large and the 2.0 XL They are amazing with great quality!
The XL is to large to fly, the Large is what you can use to fly in cabin with the pup. Worked very well, takes up all your floors space and leg room but is what it is, my pup was comfy!
Replacement bed pads are cheap, and shipping has been quick each time I've ordered!

Purchased the Sturdi Bag Pro 3.0 pet carrier for my two Yorkshire Terriers. Outstanding attention to detail with the design & top quality materials and construction. My dog busted out of two other soft travel crates in the past, but not this one! The mesh sections are durable & the zippers have small clips to keep them together so the dog cannot unzip the flaps. The pillow is comfortable and held perfectly in place with the velcro for the entire 7+ hours they were in the carrier during a flight. Used on an in-cabin flight and the carrier sat on the seat next to me on Alaska Air. Their Smaller size carriers should fit underneath the seats. Was comfortable to haul through the airport. This is the BEST travel crate!

As a Flight Nanny, I can tell you this is the only soft sided carrier I use - 690,000 miles flown in 2024 all will my SturdiBag. Large is the size that I use without issue with any airline!
LOVE LOVE LOVE my show kennel! No one can beat Sturdi product. For the last three years I'm using a small size carrier for my international flights and inside of country, it still looks like brand new. Recently bought a show kennel with a vinyl doors and grooming table, and they are my favorite. Planning to buy another one. And thank you for a great customer service.
