Are there different airline requirements for pet carriers?
Yes, airline requirements vary by airline and aircraft. Most airlines follow similar guidelines (under-seat, ventilated, small pets). Size limits are slightly different for every airline. Always check your specific airline before flying.
Can the pet carrier expand during the flight?
Sturdi pet carriers cannot expand during flights. There are no extensions on the carriers for them to have the ability to expand.
What size carrier is right for my pet?
Measure your pet
Length: nose to base of tail
Height: floor to top of head or ears when standing
Weight: use a scale if possible
Compare your pet’s size to the carrier’s internal dimensions and weight limit
Make sure your pet can stand up (at least for small/short stands), turn around, and lie down comfortably.
Ensure your pet’s weight is under the weight limit listed for the size.
If your pet’s length or height is close to or exceeds a dimension of the carrier, go up a size.
Consider comfort & usage
If you’ll be traveling (car, airplane), you may want a bit extra room rather than a super tight fit.
If your pet tends to stretch out or move around, leaning toward the larger end
of the size they qualify for is wise.

All Sturdi fleece pads are removeable and can be replaced if needed. The fleece pads are also machine washable.

How do I set up the pop-up kennel?
Sturdi Pop-Up Kennels are designed for quick, tool-free setup. Simply remove the kennel out of the carrying case, place it on a flat surface and gently expand the kennel outward. The frame will begin to take shape automatically. Sturdi kennels are designed to pop into form without any assembly.
Does it require assembly or tools?

Does it fold down for storage or travel?
Sturdi pop-up kennels are designed to collapse down into a compact, flat shape for easy storage and travel. This makes it easy to store at home, pack in a car, or for travel purposes. Comes with a storage bag.
Can the kennels be used in the car?
Sturdi Cargo Pop-Up Kennel is specifically designed to be used in the car. They are built to fit in back seats and cargo areas, sized and shaped for vehicle use. The spacious interior allows pets to lie down and relax during car travel. The kennel includes a built in seat belt loop that allows you to secure the kennel in place.

Can it hold more than one pet?
Sturdi pop-up kennels can hold more than one pet, depending on whether you purchased a single or double kennel compartment. The size of your pets are also a key factor.
Are there single vs double compartment options?
Sturdi pop-up kennels are sold in both single and double compartment options. The new Modular Pop-Up Kennel is sold as a single compartment but can be connected to another Single Modular to create a double or even a triple. The double pop-up kennels includes a divider that can be unzipped to create one large space or zipped up to create two separate spaces.

Is the SturdiBag machine washable?
Machine Washing Instructions
- Machine wash on a gentle cycle using cold or warm water — avoid hot water.
- Vacuum first to remove loose hair and debris.
- Use a stiff brush to clear hair from hook-and-loop (Velcro) fasteners.
- Disassemble all parts before washing remove security zipper clips, shoulder strap, fleece pad, baseboard, and both horizontal and arch rods.
- Turn the carrier inside out before placing it in the washer.
- Air dry completely — avoid direct sunlight or heat.
- Once dry, reinsert the arch rods first, then replace the remaining components.

Are the fleece pads machine washable?

- Before washing, remove the rods from their guides by gently flexing them out (applies to hammock pad only)
- Place the hammock inside a pillowcase or fabric laundry bag to protect the swivel hooks during washing (applies to hammock pad only)
- Air dry or machine dry on low heat only.
How do I clean the vinyl doors and vinyl liner?
We recommend using 303 Aerospace Protectant as a safe and effective vinyl cleaner. It helps maintain flexibility, prevent cracking, and keep the vinyl looking new.
Avoid using window cleaners or products containing ammonia, as they can remove the protective coating that keeps the vinyl soft and supple.

Which pop-up kennel fits best in the back seat of a car?
The CarGo Pop-Up Kennel is designed for safe, convenient travel in the car, fitting easily in most back seats without obstructing visibility. For added stability, it can also be secured in SUVs using built-in safety loops.
Most Pop-Up Kennel models include seat belt loops for secure travel, with the exception of the Euro Back models, which do not feature this attachment.

What is the return policy?
Products are eligible for exchange or refund for up to 30 days following the purchase date.
All items must be returned unworn, undamaged, unused and no signs of pet dander, with their original packaging and tags attached.

How do I begin the return process?
To start your return, contact us at customerservice@sturdiproducts.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label for a flat fee of $8 (will be deducted from your refund amount) as well as return instructions.
Complimentary exchanges are available for orders within the United States.
International Orders
International orders are responsible for covering the cost of the return shipment and all related fees. Sturdi is unable to offer direct exchanges on international orders. We ask that you return for a refund and place a new order for the preferred items.

What is the warranty policy?
All Sturdi® products purchased directly from the manufacturer are covered by a one-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of purchase. This warranty applies when the product is used as intended under normal conditions.
Warranty does not cover for:
- Normal wear and tear over time
- Damage caused by misuse or abuse of the product
- Failure to properly maintain, store, or clean the product
- Damage or odors resulting from pet accidents
